All-Ukrainian scientific-practical seminar

March 26, 2015, Dnipropetrovsk National University of Railway Transport named after Academician V. Lazaryan held all-Ukrainian scientific and practical seminar"Information analysis and infometrics diagnostics of scientific documentary stream of the Ukrainian Universities" (by the plan of Ministry of Education and Science). The first seminar in this series "Repository, e-journals, e-library - creation, use, integration into the international scientific InfoSpace" was held on 27 November 2014. This time the seminar went beyond the scope of the interregional, as representatives of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Kiev, Zaporozhye, Berdyansk, and Rivne were present.
In total, the seminar was attended by 95 specialists, representatives from 19 academic libraries of higher education institutions: Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Kryvyi Rih National University, Kryvyi Rih Teacher's Institute, Kryvyi Rih Economical Institute,Kryvyi Rih Metallurgical Institute, Berdyansk State Teacher's Institute, Dniprodzerzhinsk State Technical University, O. Honchar Dnipropetrovsk National University, Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy, Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology, Alfred Nobel University Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya National University, Zaporizhzhya National Technical University, Zaporizhzhya State Engineering Academy, Zaporizhzhya State Medical University, National University of Water Management and Nature Resources Use (Rivne).
Traditionally, the seminar was opened by Pro-rector for Research Prof. S. V. Myamlin.
Director of Scientific and Technical Library DNURT, PhD. of Social Communications Kolesnykova T. O. made a presentation and held a master class "University science in the global information space: monitoring, bibliometrics, analysis".
Deputy Director of the library of the Kiev-Mohyla Academy, PhD. of Social Communication (Kyiv) Nazarovets S. O. held a master class "Altmetrics: measuring of the impact and visibility of research results".
Staff scientist of STL DNURT Myrhorodska A. I. described the creation of the University database "Publication profile of University Science", that will gather the necessary information to create the University accountability and research activities to represent the University in Internet.
Aksenova O. Yu. the head of the Library and Information Training of Users STL DNURT sector, told about the experience of training library workers, and presented the "Self-education as a means of improving the efficiency of professional activity" presentation.
Savelieva O. A. the head of library information technology department, demonstrated presentation "Improving of scientometric indicators" using the scientometric databases.

In three computer labs practical courses were held with all interested participants:
• search of information in the global directory of open access DOAJ;
• registration in Google Academy;
• obtaining the ID of the author ORCID;
• introduction with systems of Ukrainian science citation index" and "Bibliometrics of Ukrainian science".

All participants received Certificates from the Ukrainian Library Association.
