The interregional scientific and practical seminar was held. The seminar «Repositories, electronic journals, electronic libraries - creation, use, integration into the international scientific infospace» series «Digital initiatives of scientific communication and infometric diagnostics of documentary flow in the universities of Ukraine» took place in November, 27, 2014.
The seminar was attended by 72 people who were librarians from 15 Universities from the Dnieper region: Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia,Melitopol,Dniprodzerzhynsk and many other cities.
At the seminar there were discussed the importance of integration processes in higher educational establishments of Ukraine in the international scientific information space, improve the "visibility" of Ukrainian science in the world; reviewed various systems and databases of scientific and technical information and specific ways to register in them.
The interest in these processes of Universities and their work were discussed, that was highlighted by the DNURT Vice-rector of scientific work, Doctor of Technical Science, Professor Myamlin S. V.
Kolesnykova, T. O., Director of the scientific-technical library of DNURT, Master of Social Communication, in its report has clarified the role of academic libraries in the implementation of digital initiatives of scientific communication. She is clearly informed colleagues about how and in what international databases of scientific and technical information you need to integrate the results of scientific activity of scientists (individual articles, academic research journals, institutional repositories).
Master-class on the creation and development of repositories (digital archives of scientific creativity of scientists) held the Head of E-library sector Matveeva E. S.
Yunakovska V. V., Сhief librarian, gave a master class on multi-use and citation database Scopus.
Monitoring of research activities using scientometric databases RSCI and Google Academy showed the head of Department of library and information technology Savelieva E. A.
Aksenova O. Yu, the head of the sector of information and library user education presented the algorithm of registration in such systems as DOAJ, OCLC (WorldCat), DocShyr
The seminar was held on a relaxed note. Our colleagues from other Universities have been asked a lot of questions, because the theme of "promotion of ratingbest" of every scientist, scientific periodicals, the University is one of the most relevant today.

In March will be held the second scientific-practical seminar «Information analysis and infometrics diagnostics scientific documentary stream of Universities of Ukraine» from this series.
